Privacy is part of the introduction.
Hearthcue keeps the first release intentionally narrow. We collect what is needed for profiles, discovery, likes, matches, and safety controls—and avoid exposing private fields in member cards.
Visibility is yours
New profiles start private. Discovery requires an adult profile, acknowledged consent, and your explicit discoverable setting.
Exact birth dates stay private
Hearthcue uses your date of birth to confirm adult eligibility and derives an age for discovery. Your exact date is not shown to other members.
Photos stay attached to your profile
Photos are stored through the app storage proxy and are only returned to your own profile or sanitized discovery/match cards.
Reports and blocks change access
A block immediately removes the relationship from discovery and matches. Reports are private and hide the target from your discovery.
